Urban fabric. Haute cuisine.
Grounded in our standards, elevated in the experience – behind every course, every movement behind the bar and every moment high above the rooftops of Berlin stands a well-coordinated team driven by passion, craftsmanship and uncompromising precision. What drives us is our shared commitment to reimagining indulgence: focused on the essentials, open to dialogue, and with an eye for the details that make an evening unforgettable.

In his art, the Norwegian-born artist explores human kinetic energy and the laws of gravity, with his figures appearing to defy gravity with ease. His striking works first appeared in the early 2000s and can now be found all over the world. Gjennestad lives and works in Berlin; his work now complements the existing artworks at GOLVET and brings new energy to the space.
Jens Tümmel, also known as GogoPlata, was born in Rüdersdorf and grew up in Berlin. In his youth, he began with ‘graffiti writing’ and went on to develop his work into animated cartoons, illustrations, paintings, sculptures and murals. Since 2007, he has been taking part in national and international exhibitions and projects. His signature sculpture at GOLVET has everything a true GogoPlata needs: wit, charm, and a sense of humour about himself. He has interpreted the heart of GOLVET – the head chefs – in a charming, comic-book style and gifted us with a new team member.

Felix Rodewaldt studied at the Munich Academy of Fine Arts. He took his first steps using stencils – the templates used for spraying graffiti – and then found his very own, fascinating path to tape art. During his time at university, he developed into one of Germany’s most influential tape artists. Felix is constantly exploring geometry in space and, through his work, creates an interplay with architecture and the sense of space. For the design of his display area at GOLVET, Felix has painted two interlocking anamorphoses which, when viewed from a certain angle, show circles, whilst from other perspectives they form a zigzag pattern. The inspiration for the visual concept comes from the series by Sol LeWitt and the anamorphosis by Felici Varini. Both are artists who continually inspire Felix in his work and whose essence influences his creations.
Christian Rothenhagen, also known as deerBLN, is a freelance artist and designer who grew up in Berlin. He lives and works in Berlin at the deerBLNstudio and has been featured nationally and internationally in various books and magazines. Known for his conceptual, architecture-focused drawings and installations, his personal perspective on the city and its transformation, and his attempt to freeze time, his art can primarily be seen in galleries, and, somewhat hidden away, in urban spaces too. Over the past two decades, his works have been exhibited in solo and group shows across Europe, the USA, Canada, Lebanon and Japan. For Christian, the project was a perfect fit. It’s a perfect fit because the city centre area around the GOLVET is currently undergoing an exciting and ongoing period of change. A cultural clash between Potsdamer Platz, the Neue Nationalgalerie and the Kulturforum… from Pink Floyd’s ‘The Wall’ to the architecturally ambivalent City West financial centre. …and the rapidly changing Potsdamerstraße – from the forgotten Berlin of the 1980s to an arts and gallery district. An exciting, vibrant area in every respect. And all of this can be seen from the GOLVET. This fits in with his work – capturing time.

Masha was born in the early 1990s in Russia, in the Kaliningrad enclave, and now lives in Berlin. She discovered her intuitive talent and quickly developed a recognisable style. Her work draws the viewer into a world in which one discovers new images and realms time and time again. Her works are created spontaneously, directly on the wall without any sketches or drafts, and offer a glimpse into the emotional world of this young Russian artist. She does not strive for perfection, but invites the viewer to join her on a journey of the soul, where one may seem lost at first but, on closer inspection, finds one’s way. The work Masha has created at GOLVET reflects her own reality, her surroundings, impressions and events that took place whilst she was painting. Thus, no two pictures are alike; just as people are constantly changing, so too is her art subject to constant transformation.
One Truth is an artist duo comprising the two brothers Dr.Drax and Pase. Both discovered their passion for graffiti in 1998 and began working in the underground scene as self-taught artists. They are internationally recognised, form part of Swiss graffiti culture and have worked with legends such as Cope2 and Bates in the past. In 2003, they founded One Truth Graffiti and have been shaping both the graffiti scene and Zurich’s cityscape ever since. Their work can be found in many public spaces, such as the Milan World Expo, the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs, the 2012 Olympic Games (London), Google’s headquarters (Zurich), the FIFA Museum and many more. They are also represented in several international collections, such as ‘Galerie Vertes Modern’ (Bahnhofstrasse, Zurich). Furthermore, their work is traded at ‘Galartis Auction House’ in Lausanne. At GOLVET, the One Truth Brothers designed the bathrooms. They have titled their work ‘Streets of Berlin’, as the spaces reflect the streets of Berlin and the charm they exude through their urban street art. “We wanted to capture the flavour of the city within the spaces; the contrast between the elegant GOLVET and street art was also something that interested us. Much of it came about intuitively, in the moment, without hours of planning – just going with the flow; that’s what defines us and Berlin.”

Case, also known as Andreas von Chrzanowski, has been a pioneer of photorealism for over two decades. ‘Power’ and ‘movement’ are equally fundamental pillars of his German heritage and provide the inspiration for him to express his significant themes of unity and power through hands folded one upon the other.
His work at GOLVET is inspired by William Bouguereau’s painting ‘The Birth of Venus’. The interlocking hands depicted captivate the viewer with their opulent, erotic aura and play on the metaphor of birth – just like GOLVET, his work marks the beginning of something noble and entirely new.
